Welcome to Temple Micah!

Welcome to Micah. We’re glad you’re here. In our building, in our homes, and in our city, we practice a hopeful, inclusive Judaism. Together we attempt to answer the question of what it means to live both a fully American and fully Jewish life. To us, Reform is a verb.

Approval of recommendation of Rabbi Josh Beraha: A Message from the Board of Directors

Updated January 7, 2026

It is our sincere pleasure to share that this community has accepted the Board's recommendation that Rabbi Josh Beraha be our next Senior Rabbi.

Per our bylaws, the recommendation needed to be accepted by at least 2/3 of voting members present to pass. It passed with 84 percent. We are deeply grateful to everyone who took the time to engage in this significant moment for our synagogue.

Rabbi Beraha is set to begin as Senior Rabbi on July 1, 2026. While we will, of course, be in touch between now and then with more on his installation and integration, for now we want to say thank you to everyone in this community who participated in any way in this process. It is our privilege to serve such a thoughtful and engaged congregation. This is the end of one chapter but the beginning of another, and we are looking forward to writing it together with Rabbi Beraha—and all of you.

Sincerely,
Roberta Aronson and Emily Tamkin
